Etch A Sketch
TV was a big influence on the development of this classic toy. Indeed, Andrés Cassagnes, the French inventor, originally named it a “L’Ecran Magique” (“The Magic Screen”).
The Etch A Sketch was born of curiosity. Sometime in the mid to late 1950s, André Cassagnes was working as an electrician for a company called Lincrusta in Vitry-Sur-Seine, France.
