In this episode Remo and Claudia are joined by Sydney-based design thinker James De Vries in a chat about communications design – and how, despite the ever-evolving media landscape, it all ultimately comes down to the art and craft of storytelling.
James has had a lot of experience designing a range of newspapers and magazines both in Australia and Asia, e.g. The Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Financial Review, The Age, South China Morning Post. He also worked at Harvard Business Review from 2011 to 2017 as the Creative Director charged with the task of re-designing and modernising their entire media portfolio – AND he was also an early design collaborator with Remo. Indeed, his name is still attached to many of the most iconic REMO T-shirt designs. See them HERE.
