Olympic Rings
This was no agency job. The logo that appears on the Olympic flag was designed in 1913 by the man himself, Pierre de Coubertin – the founder and then president of the International Olympic Committee.
The five interlocking rings represent the union of the “five continents” of the world and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games. But no continent is represented by any specific ring.
